My client is a reputable Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy working from an impressive office in the heart of Birmingham.

They require an intermediate Structural Engineer who will have the opportunity to design and analyse a wide range of building structures. 

All within an experienced C&S Engineering team that is both collaborative and supportive.

Structural Engineer duties:

• Prepare outline designs for structural schemes based on the clients brief
• Carry out detailed design calculations to Eurocodes using the latest 3D design software
• Co-ordinate your designs with other design disciplines and specialists with BIM
• Assist with the production of detailed design drawings and specifications for tender purposes
• Visit sites during the construction phase to monitor on-site progress
• Check outgoing and incoming documents, including contractors proposal documentation

Structural Engineer experience:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Near chartered or working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE
• Proven experience of structural design within a UK consultancy
• A good understanding of basic structural behaviour
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis software like Tekla Structural Designer
• A proactive approach with a can-do attitude
