While designing a mix of permanent and temporary structures for high-profile clients, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all project stages spanning major residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and leisure sectors.

Structural Engineer responsibilities:

• Prepare outline designs for structural schemes based on our client's brief
• Carry out detailed design calculations to Eurocodes using the latest 3D design software
• Co-ordinate your designs with other design disciplines and specialists with BIM
• Assist with the production of detailed design drawings and specifications for tender purposes
• Visit sites during the construction phase to monitor on-site progress
• Carry out structural surveys of existing buildings and advise on any issues that may arise
• Analyse and report on structural defects in existing buildings and structures

Structural Engineer experience:

• Proven experience of working in structural engineering design
• Degree in structural or civil engineering and be working towards professional chartership status
• A good understanding of basic structural behaviour
• A good understanding of the basic regulatory requirements including Eurocodes
• Experience and understanding of sustainability issues within structural design Be a team player within the structures team, the wider teams in the office and company and with clients and collaborators
• Be a proficient user of structural analysis software
• A proactive approach with a can-do attitude
